With the exhibition “Deyrolle, Leçons d’anatomie – Bien bouger, bien se nourrir, bien dans sa tête” at the Château de La Bourdaisière, we are all the patients of tomorrow!
For its third edition, the Deyrolle Anatomy Lessons exhibition has been enriched around the theme of “Moving well, eating well, thinking well”, with the ambition of encouraging the adoption of healthier lifestyle habits to better understand and care for our bodies.
The exhibition is the brainchild of Louis Albert de Broglie, owner of the premises and Deyrolle, a committed entrepreneur. It reflects his vision of reconciling Humanity and the Environment, and links the health of the body with the environment: because the health of human beings is closely linked to the health of the planet. Doctor Gérald Kierzek, author of Deyrolle, Leçons d’anatomie, with a preface by Louis Albert de Broglie (ed. Albin Michel), is the exhibition’s medical advisor.
La Bourdaisière, a superb 70-hectare estate, is a laboratory and a venue for numerous exhibitions.

Through 8 artistic and educational stages, Deyrolle, Anatomy Lessons takes place mainly in the Château’s grounds, but also takes visitors on a tour of its mysterious cellars. The trail also echoes Deyrolle’s famous anatomical plates, which were the first educational and historical plates published by Deyrolle in the second half of the 19th century. This immersive journey combining Nature, Art and Education is designed for all, young and old, with an emotional as well as scientific approach.
Enhanced this year by the notions of well-being, nutrition and physical activity, the exhibition encourages us to reconsider our body as a biodiversity in its own right, to be cared for and learned about, because our body is our most important asset.
In line with school curricula and CSR issues, it also opens its doors to classes and companies alike.
Deyrolle, Leçons d’anatomie, pour bien bouger, bien se nourrir et être bien dans sa tête. Because we need to take care of people and take care of the planet!

An immersive 8-stage tour combining Science, Art and Nature
Stage 1 – WHERE IT ALL BEGINS…
An introductory stage in the Château’s cellars with a video by Elisabeth Dion, Gérald Kierzek and Louis Albert de Broglie presenting the foreword to this exhibition and paying tribute to the contributors to medicine. A small photo exhibition on the strange similarities between the universe / the infinitely large and the cells of our body / the infinitely small is also to be discovered in this stage.
Step 2 – THE SCIENCE LIBRARY
Boards from DEYROLLE, LEÇONS D’ANATOMIE, published by Albin Michel, are featured in this section, with an addition this year on artificial intelligence for connected health.
Stage 3 – THE DEYROLLE SCHOOL, NATURE ART EDUCATION
How does Nature inspire us to reinvent ourselves to care for humans? A philosophical and societal approach inspired by 19th-century thinkers who reconnected with nature, with an introduction to the Forest School. A monumental work of art featuring 3 thermometers also presents temperatures from different scientific perspectives.
Stage 4 – THE FOREST, OUR POUMON
In the middle of the forest, in the middle of the course, a little moment of rest and well-being in Nature with a net suspended through the trees, like oxygen bubbles in which you can sit and listen to the sounds of the forest… as well as a mindfulness exercise to reconnect with this soothing environment, before climbing the balance course.
Step 5 – NOURISH YOURSELF
In the heart of the National Tomato Conservatory and vegetable garden, this section takes you on a journey through the digestive tract and intestines: the infinitely small world of intestinal flora and health-giving microbes!
Stage 6 – DR K’S CONSULTATION PAVILION
This stage offers medical advice, including informative videos by Elisabeth Dion and Gérald Kierzek. Opposite the Pavilion, discover the chromosomes that make up each and every one of us.
Step 7 – BEHAVIORAL CRYPTS
“I’ve decided to be happy because it’s good for my health” (Voltaire). The “Cabinet du bien-être”, the “Cabinet du sommeil” and the “Cabinet du mal-être” are the 3 parts of this stage, and present the means to achieve this Voltairean adage.
Stage 8 – THE ANATOMIC CHAPEL
In the Gothic and Baroque ambience of the Chapelle de La Bourdaisière, this section features works evoking the discovery of human anatomy.
